Palak Pakoda (Palak Pakora) Recipe
Palak pakoda is one of my favorite and perfect snack recipe at home which is best recipe for the upcoming rainy or winter season.
Why palak or spinach is healthy?
Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K and also good source of magnesium, calcium and phosphorus, which are important for maintaining bone health.
What are the other different ways to consume palak or spinach?
Spinach is a versatile vegetable and can be eaten raw or cooked.
Put them in dal/lentils or you can also cook it with vegetables like aalo palak baigan, lauki palak or aaloo palak to name a few.
Apart from this you can also make bhajiya . Yes Palak pakoda are delicious Indian spinach fritters made with fresh spinach leaves, gram flour, spices and herbs.In this recipe I am going to use the whole leaves and besan without chopping them but you can also deep-fry them by using finely chopped palak and besan.

Instructions to make palak pakora
1.Firstly wash and rinse palak leaves, Drain completely. pat them dry.
2.Take a bowl and add besan, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds, coriander powder and salt.
3.Now add lemon juice or dry mango powder and water, make a smooth flowing no lump batter not very thick and not too thin , good enough to just coat the palak leaves.
4.Heat oil in frying pan. Dip the spinach leaves in the batter and drop them in the hot oil, fry it on low medium flame.
5.Fry it until golden brown from both the sides.
6.Serve hot and crispy Palak Pakoda with coriander chutney or ketchup.
